The Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN), an umbrella Association for young entrepreneurs and the Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs), is set to host 2019 SME International Trade Fair in Lagos.

In a statement by the Chairman Organising Group, Dr Jude Nwankwo, the event tagged SME International Week and Trade Fair, Lagos 2019, with the theme: “Promoting SMEs for National Economic Growth and Prosperity”, will be Nigeria’s biggest trade fair and exhibitions in the country.

The Fair is scheduled to hold on December 3rd – December 7th, 2019 at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos Nigeria by 9:00am – 6:00pm daily.

The five-day Fair will have in attendance 500 local and international exhibitors and 50,000 visitors.

According to Nwankwo, the Trade Fair, which is an annual event, “celebrates SMEs and aims to build a platform for products display, trade promotion, business development, investment opportunities, business exchange & networking for both Nigeria and international SMEs and visitors.”

Nwankwo, who described Small and Medium Enterprises as back born of Nigeria and global economies, said the 2019 SMEs International Week & Trade Fair, Lagos seeks to foster common development for Nigeria’s SMEs.

He added that the event was designed to “help domestic SMEs increase their market shares and presence in the country as well as help foreign SMEs expand throughout the vast mainland market of Nigeria, the biggest economy in Africa.”

According to him highlights of the Fair include “Exhibition & Trade Fair, Discounted Sales, Brand/Products Promotion, Business Networking, Master Classes, Conferences, Business Clinics, B2B Meetings, Raffle Draws, Giveaways’, Onsite SMEs Loans, Onsite Buy Paylater Services, Onsite CAC, SON, NAFDAC Services among others.

Special Guests of Honour to grace the event include Nigeria’s Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo; Ooni of Ife, HIM Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II; Lagos State Governor Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu; Minister of Trade and Investment, Maryam Katagum amongst.

Special Trade Fair visitors for the 5 days include H.E. Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President of Nigeria, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, H.E. Babajide Sanwo-Olu Lagos State Governor, Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu; Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment (State) Amb Maryam Katagum.

The 2019 SME International Week and Trade Fair, Lagos will benefit from wide local and international media coverage both in print, electronic and social media before and during the fair.

This will provide opportunity for various brands & SMEs to unveil and showcase their new products and services to thousands of visitors, prominent dignitaries and policy makers across Nigeria and beyond.
