The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), has assured residents of its readiness to conduct the state’s local government elections in Saturday, July 24, 2021.
The electoral body urged residents to shun voter apathy and come out enmasse to vote for the candidates of their choice.
Chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, Retired Justice Ayotunde Phillips, made the call while featuring on Radio One breakfast show, “This Morning”.
Retired Justice Phillips who noted that preparations towards the Election was around ninety five percent completion, said smart card readers would be deployed for the Council Poll.
She encouraged those without permanent voter card to use their temporary card and stressed that the electorate must comply with Covid-19 protocols.
