SOMOLU LG MAYOR ‘DULLAR’ JOIN SANWO-OLU, HAMZAT TO BID OYESANYA FARRWELL

The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, joined other numerous politicians to bid the late Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Engr. Abdulfatai Oyesanya. At the elaborate 8the day fidau prayer Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat were represented by their wives, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat.

Conspicuously present at the event held at the spacious Funplex Resort on CMD road in Shangisha, is the Lagos East Senator Adebayo Osinowo who was with delegation of Lagos State APC Executive team, led by the Chairman, Alhaji Babatunde Balogun.

Teams of officiating Imams from Ijebu-Ode and Lagos prayed fervently for the family, associates and followers of the late visionary leader. The Imams also urge the wife, children and political associate of Oyesco to solace in Allah as He giveth and taketh at His will.

Among prominent personalities at the event also include Conference57 Chairmen (Council Chairmen) including Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu of Somolu Local Government and his colleagues from Imota, Ikorodu, Ikosi-Ejirin, Eredo, Ajwromi-Ifelodun, Ifelodun, Apapa, Lagos Island East, Yaba, Kosofe, Agboyi-Ketu, Ojokoro, Iba, DTI Osa, Eti Osa East, Alimosho, Agbado Oke-Odo, Amuwo-Odofin, Isolo, Ejigbo, Mushin and so on.

The Chairperson of Somolu Local Government, Mrs. Mariam Omotanwa Salawu and Hon. Abiola Fashoro (Women Leader), Hon. Femi Taiwo (Somolu APC Chairman) were also there with their colleagues from other councils in Lagos State. Hon. Yomi Osunkoya (Leader of Somolu Legislative Council) with hundreds of councilors under the aegies of Lagos State Councilors’ Forum. The Chairman of Conference57 Chief Press Secretaries, CPS Oseni Owolabi Ajimomuya (Somolu) was there with his executives and colleagues from Yaba, Ikeja, Kosofe, Agboyi-Ketu, Ikosi-Ejirin, Mushin, Odiolowo-Ojuwoye, Ifako-Ijaiye, Oshodi-Isolo, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Alimosho, Igando-Ikotun, Egbe-Idimu, Agbado-Oke-Odo and other media personnel who came to have a glimpse of the event. Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, and his Wealth Creation & Employment counterpart, Hon. Yetunde Arobieke was also at the event. Immediate past Executive Secretary of Somolu Local Government, Engr. Abiodun Orekoya and Hon. Lanre Carew of Farm City were also present.

It was truly a celebration a beautiful life well spent for the late veteran educator cum politician Engr. Oyesanya, according to his Chief Press Secretary, CPS Oluwaseyi Odufowokan. He described his boss as a peace loving politician who love his family, communities and Kosofe at large. Kosofe representatives in Lagos State and National Assembly were also on ground as Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye (Kosofe Federal Constituency), Hon. Babatunde Okanlawon (Kosofe 1) and Hon. Tunde Buraimoh (Kosofe 2) bid Engr. Oyesanya farewell.

Recall that Engr. Abdulfatai Oyesanya passed-on at the early hours of last week Tuesday, January 21, and was buried the same day according to Islamic inunction at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. A third day prayer was held at his Magodo residence in Lagos on Thursday, January 23. On the same Thursday, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu had dedicated the monthly welfare package for the elderly people in Somolu, to Engr. Oyeasanya.

According to Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, Engr. Oyesanya will be greatly missed in Lagos State politics, especially for his fatherly role in The Mandate Group (TMG) and All Progressives Congress as a whole. According to news from Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, the Vice Chairman of Engr. Abdulfatai Oyesanya, Princess Samiat Bolanle Bada, will be sworn-in as Executive Chairman on Thursday, January 30, at the council secretariat.
