After much anticipation and anxiety the maiden edition for Face of Trek Africa FOTA 2016 ends with a big bang, with Muoka ‘Cleopatra’ Ifeoma clinching the coveted crown of the Face of Trek Africa.
The event which took place at the NECA House at Alausa Ikeja, Lagos was sponsored by top hair products company Multisheen Cosmetics (makers of Ebony hair products), Kelvin Auto classic Ltd, Bamgbala stores and Pemmacui Make over. In attendance were dignitaries from all walks of Life who came to cheer the contestants after a long week of training, programmes and anxiety buildup.
Miss Ifeoma Muoka a 19 years old Student from Anambra state Emerged Winner, Miss Face Of Trek Africa 2016 and Miss Photogenic, Vivian Aso was the 1st Runner up and Miss Amity, Triona Uweh came 2nd Runner up and Miss Creativity While, Adebayo Omolola was got Queen of Catwalk Award.
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Women Affairs and the Wife of the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Leader, Senator Oluremi Tinubu represented by Mrs Oluwakemi Soname delivered the FOTA2016 Speech Titled; Engaging the Women for Africa Economy Development. The amiable Senator in her speech commended the Organizers for joining hands in the empowerment of the African Women. Mrs. Tinubu uses the opportunity to encourage and enjoined the women to continue to be an instrument of progressive change adding that, women contributes major percentage to the Social Economy Development of the Nation.
The event was hosted by LOLO1 of Wazobia FM, and Judges in attendance included Mr. Ifeanyi (CEO PrinceClass Courture) and Dupe Noma, the special guests includes Senator Oluremi Tinubu,OON represented by Mrs Oluwakemi Soname, Chief Mrs. Amina Temitope Ajayi aka Mama Diaspora, HRH Igwe Kelvin Oputa Obiel of Imo State, Queen Seidat, Mrs. Temitope Okunnu (Founder, FABE International Foundation), Sir Francis, Dr. Babatunde of Kleinburg Medical Center and Mrs. Magritte Adewunmi (Lilies Trendy Fashion Home) amongst many others.
Some of the designers that showcased their collections at the event are Sugga Collections and Bridals, House of Di’Ela Label, TopRoyal Collections.
The event which was handled by leading events company, Purples Events World was a beauty to behold and the contestants who were groomed by world of dance power couple John Paul and Empress Thelma gave a superb performance despite the initial challenges encountered.
Other than the captivating performances by the contestants, another highlight of the day was the music performance by Akofah, whose performance mesmerized the audiences also challenges LOLO1 out of her seat to dance with the Ghanaian born Nigeria artist on stage, other artists includes Imelda J, Austin Swagger, YungACE, SwagerPrince, Tusco, Mavins.
