The late former Kaduna State, Governor, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has been buried.
The funeral prayer, was led by Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, at Sultan Bello Central Mosque, Kaduna.
At the funeral, Gov. Nasir El-Rufai, who was unavoidably absent, was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Balarabe Abbas Lawal. Otjer dignitaries include two former Governors, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi and Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero.
The funeral was also attended by Senator Shehu Sani, Chief Judge of Kaduna State, Justice Mohammed Lawal, Alhaji Lema Jibril, Hon. Isah Mohammed Ashiru, Alhaji Hussaini Jallo, serving and former Commissioners and District Heads.
Alhaji Balarabe Musa died Wednesday morning in Kaduna. He was aged 84.
The late Balarabe Musa, was elected governor of Kaduna State in 1979 but was later controversially impeached and removed from office.
Born August 21, 1936, Alhaji Musa was the first civilian governor of Kaduna State in Nigeria’s Second Republic before he was impeached on June 23, 1981.
Until his death, he was the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).
