An excellence and meritorious service award has been presented to Engineer Oludayo Olusegun Oluyemi by the Lagos State Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
The meritorious award was presented to Engr. Oluyemi on Tuesday by a representative of the National President of the NSE, who was a national vice president of the society, High Chief Tunde Zedoni, assisted by the chapter chairman, Engr. Dr. Musliudeen Agoro at the Secretariat of the body in Akoka, Lagos.
Engr. Oludayo Olusegun Oluyemi is the current National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Highways & Transportation Engineers, NIHE.
Oluyemi is a Consultant to World Bank Office in Abuja on Public Expenditure Management & Financial Accountability Review in Road Sector Study. He was a Consultant to the European Union/Delegation to Nigeria on MPP9 projects in Abia State.
He was born to the family of Chief Rowosola lso Adegboyega Oluyemi and Chief (Mrs) Oluremi Oluyemi of the Liwo Olowu family in Oriwu, Atikori, Ijebu Igbo in Ogun State.
Oludayo Oluyemi attended St Augustine Catholic Primary School Ijebu Ode from 1971-73 and Emmanuel Anglican Primary School Italupe, Ijebu Ode from 1974-76.
He went to Government College Ketu, Epe Division Lagos State in 1976 and completed his secondary school in 1981 with a Grade 1 with distinction.
The awardee gained admission to study Civil Engineering at the University of Lagos in 1981 and graduated in 1986 with a Second Class Upper Division Honours.
He bagged Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos in 1988 as a Federal Government Scholar.
He did his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in the old Imo State and was posted to the Directorate of Foods, Roads & Rural Infrastructure where he coordinated their activities in Isuikwuato/Okigwe , Mbano & Etiti Local Government Areas from August 1986 to July 1987.
Oluyemi started work in Ladiom Associates (Consulting Engineers) in Lagos in 1987, where he garnered a wealth of experience in civil engineering designs, construction management and supervision.
In 1989, Mr. Oluyemi joined Hancock Ogundiya & Partners and became a Partner in the company in 1991.
Mr. O.O. Oluyemi became a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in 1990 and was registered by the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) in 1991.
He became a Fellow of the Nigerian Society Of Engineers in 2007 and has served as a member of the Road Infrastructure Institutional Committee of the Society.
He had also been a member of the Executive Council of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Society Of Engineers.
He served the branch meritoriously as the immediate past Chairman, Vice Chairman, Technical Secretary and Ex-Officio Member.
He had also served the NSE as a National Council Member for two years.
He is a Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, ASCE.
Oludayo Oluyemi is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers.
He is also a fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Highways & Transportation Engineers, NIHTE.
Engr Oluyemi designed and supervised the construction of many roads, highways, bridges , industrial buildings, office buildings and residential buildings in Nigeria.
Engr Oluyemi was also a Member of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Committee on Road Sector Reforms.

Engr. Oludayo Olusegun Oluyemi is a fervent Christian and he is happily married to Adefunke Omosalewa Oluyemi and they are blessed with three children.
He is currently the Principal Partner of Hancock Ogundiya & Partners Limited ( An ISO Certified firm of Consulting Civil & Structural Engineers) and he is also into Quarrying and Farming.
He is the Chairman/CEO of Chief Cornerstone Agricultural Investments Limited, a company that has recently gone into farming of cash and food crops to assist the nation in providing employment for our youths and preventing food scarcity.
Oludayo Oluyemi plays Golf and Lawn tennis for leisure and he is a member of the IBB Golf Club, Abuja.
